Semana 95

Dear Elder Lutze,

We continue to pray for you, your companion, and your zone! What did the urologist say? I hope E. Rojas got what he needs to get better!❤️‍🩹

Just busy here with the usual… work at work and work at home. Dad’s in SG and I’m here - both working on different projects! I helped clean the church yesterday! Dad got out of that one!🤪 I leave in 2 weeks to help Hannah with new baby. And two weeks after that to DC with Rachael for Kyle and Camilla’s wedding. In August we hope to spend some time with Papa Fred and help with things at his house.

Joseph Brandt spoke in church today. I can’t believe he’s home! He asked about you and when you’d be home.

I’m especially emotional today about my mission. E. Christofferson is dedicating the Salta Argentina temple today. I’ve been pondering about the families I taught and how they will be blessed by the temple. How many of them are there today?

I love this quote on bearing pure testimony! Only a few more months to bear that pure testimony as a missionary! Don’t miss any opportunity!

Elder M. Russell Ballard counseled Latter-day Saints to bear pure testimony: “Simply stated, testimony—real testimony, born of the Spirit and confirmed by the Holy Ghost—changes lives. It changes how you think and what you do. It changes what you say. It affects every priority you set and every choice you make. … “My experience throughout the Church leads me to worry that too many of our members’ testimonies linger on ‘I am thankful’ and ‘I love,’ and too few are able to say with humble but sincere clarity, ‘I know.’ As a result, our meetings sometimes lack the testimony-rich, spiritual underpinnings that stir the soul and have meaningful, positive impact on the lives of all those who hear them. “Our testimony meetings need to be more centered on the Savior, the doctrines of the gospel, the blessings of the Restoration, and the teachings of the scriptures. We need to replace stories, travelogues, and lectures with pure testimonies. … “… To bear testimony is ‘to bear witness by the power of the Holy Ghost; to make a solemn declaration of truth based on personal knowledge or belief’ (Guide to the Scriptures, “Testify”). Clear declaration of truth makes a difference in people’s lives. That is what changes hearts. That is what the Holy Ghost can confirm in the hearts of God’s children.

Love you!
