Semana 99

Dear Elder Lutze,

Rob was with us today in our YWs class. He mentioned how excited he is to see you soon. Brother Southwick also stopped by and wanted to make sure you’d gotten his birthday message. ðŸŽ‚ HaPpY BiRtHdAy!!! I hope you know how much I love you! You are my baby and always will be!

This has been a busy week like always! I was with the McBrides until Thursday morning. I landed at 7 am and at work by 9. I worked two full days at work and then all day Saturday at home! The yard is back in shape, the house is clean, and the refrigerator is full of food. Natalie and Rachael came over for a movie night Friday. We watched Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and enjoyed some good food!

Love you!

Power

It should be no surprise that as we become more godlike we become more powerful. Knowledge brings power; purity brings power; love brings power. The acquisition of each divine trait brings power. Power and godhood are directly related. Paul spoke of this truth when he wrote of Jesus as possessing a “fulness of the Godhead bodily” and then added, that he “is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:9–10; see also 1 Chronicles 29:12, Psalm 66:7). The Savior’s life is a confirmation of this truth. He went from grace to grace until he received a fulness of the Father and then “he received all power, both in heaven and on earth” (D&C 93:17; see also 1 Nephi 1:14; Alma 26:35; D&C 100:1). 35 Now have we not reason to rejoice? Yea, I say unto you, there never were men that had so great reason to rejoice as we, since the world began; yea, and my joy is carried away, even unto boasting in my God; for he has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding; he comprehendeth all things, and he is a merciful Being, even unto salvation, to those who will repent and believe on his name. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/bofm/alma/26?id=p35&lang=eng#p35
