Hello everybody! Hope you all had a good week! And, I hope you are all doing well! So, if you remember from my last email how I was saying that I was pretty sure I was being transferred? Well, our President done fooled us! I will be staying in Samaria for this next transfer! Hence the title "The Good Samarian Once More." I'm very excited! But, also a little nervous because I will have a new comp, meaning that I will be the one leading the area. So pray for me on that one.
Had some fun times this week! I raced a bunch of kids. They were on bikes and I was running. I won! Haha!
Taught an English class which was cool. But, then I tried saying a prayer in English and I couldn't. It was actually so hard!
Dropped my toothpaste in the toilet...
We are teaching a "China" (everyone in Panama uses this term) named Lee. So we got a Chinese Book of Mormon for her.
We are teaching these kids too. They are so precious. Whenever they see me, they run up to me and hug me. They have a ton of energy! It definitely makes Sacrament meeting interesting! These kids are special to me because I get to act like a fun uncle to them. Speaking of which, my sister Hannah just had a baby!! I'm super happy! But, also a little sad that I don't get to see Diver or the new baby (Hunter). So, I'm grateful for the substitute opportunity here in Panama and that Google Meet exists.
Then, of course, the district and zone all said bye to each other. Some of us are staying and some of us are leaving.
Also, "Wakanda Por Siempre" looks like a super awesome movie. I'm waaaay too hyped for it since I can't watch it!. I guess I'll have to settle for my happy meal toy and a picture in front of a massive poster.
Finally, today for PDay we got super cool soccer jerseys for the zone. They are lit!
Now it's time for a spiritual thought. This week we did a practice where we told another missionary his talents and good things. Elder Putt and I had each other. And wow, I felt the spirit. It was so strong. Oftentimes, I don't exactly see myself in a positive light and can be hard on myself. I know that others are the same. However, in this practice Elder Putt had so many good, sincere things to say to me. And I just thought that God also sees us in such a good way. He sees us for the good and for what we can be. It was so powerful! We don't always see ourselves how others or how God sees us. So this week take time to help someone else realize how special they are and take time to realize how special you are. Because if you are special to God, then that means you're pretty dang special.
Overall it was a good week! I'm excited for the future! But, please pray for me and my new companion E. Hansen. Lots of work to do, and there's no time to waste. So pray for me that I can lead this area well. And please pray that the people of Samaria will accept us well. I hope you all have a great week! I'm always praying for you all! Ciao!
