Semana 89 (Banana Umbrellas, Who Knew?!)

Great week! We started off with a CPEC and intercambio with the Elders of Changuinola! I had a super great time with Elder Martin! We did a TON of contacts and saw a TON of miracles!

We also tried a nasty horrible drink. To help you understand how horrible it was, the drink is literally called "Blagh." Who names a drink "Blagh"!?!? Someone must have drunk it for the first time ever and made the sound "Blagh" afterwards. Thus it became the famous Ngabe drink "Blagh."

Our friend Adán lost his necklace and was really, really sad. We felt sad for him, so we decided to buy him a new one. When we gave it to him he started to cry. It was a pretty tender moment. Just the power of love :)

We had another intercambio this week! I was with Elder Hulme. I love that guy so much! It was a good day. The highlight was that it started pouring, so we used banana leaves as umbrellas!

We made cobbler pie, it was pretty decent!

I learned how to balance a broom on the tip of my thumb. It's pretty fun!

ADAN GOT BAPTIZED!!! LETS GOOOOOO!!
It was super awesome! Special moment!

Then Sunday we traveled to David for Zone conference! It's gonna be a good Pday!

Also, Panama voted in their President this week, so things might get a little crazy if the people don't like him.

As for my spiritual thought, I want to talk about prayer. Prayer is so powerful!! The 40 day fast has been really hard, but God has been giving me so much strength through prayer. Not only that, but we created a prayer list for our friends, and we pray for each one's individual needs. We have been feeling the Spirit so much in lessons lately, and we have been seeing so many miracles! Prayer is such an amazing gift that we have to be able to talk to our loving Heavenly Father! He listens to us. What matters to us, matters to Him as well!

Some of my favorite prayer scriptures are in Alma 37:36-37

36 Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.
37 Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

So I invite you all to give a little more effort to your prayers! It's kind of hard to do, but the blessings are worth it!

Anyways. Love you all lots! Have a great week! Keep praying for my zone and my people! Until Next Week!
